During the October break, Luna and Leo book a Baltic Sea hotel at a travel agency. They decline a double room and choose two single rooms, plan a train journey, sort out luggage (Leo has three bags and a bicycle; Mobi is practically luggage), handle the front desk and paperwork, request a sea‑view room, send postcards at the post office, and opt for one night with two meals. 22 travel–hotel–luggage sentences form a single episode.
Im Oktober habe ich eine Woche Urlaub vom Kurs.
In October I have a week off from the course.
Leo und ich planen eine kleine Reise an die Ostsee.
Leo and I are planning a short trip to the Baltic Sea.
Im Reisebüro frage ich nach einem billigen Hotel.
At the travel agency I ask about a cheap hotel.
Die Dame im Reisebüro sagt: „Ich habe ein Angebot für Sie.“
The lady at the travel agency says: "I have an offer for you."
Ein Doppelzimmer mit Halbpension: Frühstück und Abendessen.
A double room with half board: breakfast and dinner included.
Nein, danke: zwei Einzelzimmer, bitte.
No, thank you: two single rooms, please.
Leo und ich reisen mit dem Zug.
Leo and I are traveling by train.
Mein Gepäck ist klein: ein Koffer und meine Tasche.
My luggage is small: one suitcase and my bag.
Leos Gepäck ist groß: drei Koffer und ein Fahrrad.
Leo’s luggage is big: three suitcases and a bicycle.
Mobi hat kein Gepäck. Er ist das Gepäck.
Mobi has no luggage. He is the luggage.
Leo, Mobi und ich übernachten zwei Nächte im Hotel am Meer.
Leo, Mobi, and I are staying two nights at the hotel by the sea.
An der Rezeption zeige ich meine Papiere.
At reception I show my papers.
Die Anmeldung ist schnell. Der Mann gibt mir den Schlüssel.
Check-in is quick. The clerk gives me the key.
Mein Zimmer ist oben, mit Blick auf das Meer.
My room is upstairs, with a view of the sea.
Das Meer ist grau und kalt, aber schön.
The sea is gray and cold, but beautiful.
Am Strand ist es windig. Mobi fliegt fast weg.
It’s windy on the beach. Mobi almost blows away.
Ich schreibe eine Postkarte und gehe zur Post.
I write a postcard and go to the post office.
Die Postkarte geht nach Busan, in meine Heimat.
The postcard is going to Busan, my hometown.
Das Hotel hat Halbpension: Das Abendessen ist im Preis.
The hotel has half board: dinner is included in the price.
Leo isst am Abend für zwei.
In the evening Leo eats for two.
Nach zwei Tagen fahren Leo, Mobi und ich zurück nach Berlin.
After two days Leo, Mobi, and I go back to Berlin.
Der Urlaub war kurz, aber die Reise war schön.
The vacation was short, but the trip was nice.
