These terms describe the Lingoban service scope, account use rules, and the handling of paid plans.

1. Service scope #
Lingoban is a language-learning web service offering study card management, review flows, chat-based learning, AI-assisted features, and paid plan management.
Service features may change, expand, or be reduced where needed for operations, maintenance, or product development.
2. Accounts and access #
Users are responsible for keeping their sign-in credentials and account access secure and must not use other users' accounts without permission.
Protected areas, stored data, and generated features may only be used within the scope of the authorised account.
Minors may use paid features, account management, and AI generation features only with consent and supervision from a parent or legal guardian.
3. Learning data and user content #
Learning data, cards, chat input, image selections, generated stories, and media created or uploaded by the user are processed only for service delivery and continuity of the study flow.
Users must have the necessary rights to the content they upload or submit and grant Lingoban the rights needed to store, transform, analyse, display, and play that content for the service.
4. Paid plans and billing #
Some features or usage limits depend on the current paid plan status.
Payments and subscription state are handled through Polar, and short synchronisation delays may occur while billing events are being processed. Plan changes, cancellation, refund eligibility, and expiry follow the checkout surface and the actual payment provider state.
5. AI-assisted features #
AI analysis, translation, story generation, image generation, and TTS are learning aids. Lingoban does not guarantee that outputs are always accurate or suitable for a particular purpose, and users should review outputs before learning from them or using them elsewhere.
Users must not submit sensitive information, other people's non-public information, unauthorised copyrighted material, or requests that facilitate unlawful conduct to AI features.
6. Prohibited use #
- The service must not be used for unlawful purposes, unauthorised access attempts, use of other users' accounts, or abusive automation.
- Generation and storage features must not be misused in a way that disrupts service operations.
- Attempts to bypass usage limits, billing state, access controls, or security checks are prohibited.
7. Availability, changes, and suspension #
We may adjust features, limits, plan structure, and external integrations where necessary for service operations or product maintenance.
Parts of the service may be temporarily unavailable because of maintenance, incident response, or third-party infrastructure issues.
8. Termination and account deletion #
Users may schedule account deletion, but should review any active subscription or remaining account settings before completing the process.
Immediate deletion may be restricted where an active paid subscription or a legal retention reason still applies.
9. Limitation of liability and contact #
To the extent permitted by law, we may limit liability for interruptions of free or auxiliary features, external infrastructure failures, or results caused by incorrect user input.
