Your part
Recall the answer, reveal it, and rate how well you remembered.
01 · GERMAN SRS FLASHCARDS
Lingoban helps you understand expressions, practise speaking, and review what you learned. Its FSRS algorithm schedules your next flashcard review from your card state, ratings, and elapsed time.

Recall the answer, reveal it, and rate how well you remembered.
Calculate when each card should appear for review again.
Understand with analysis cards → practise with shadowing → recall in review.
02 · SPACED REPETITION
An SRS (Spaced Repetition System) brings learning material back over time. FSRS is the scheduling algorithm that calculates those intervals.

A recently seen answer can feel familiar without being easy to recall later.
Leave time, then check whether you can bring the answer to mind without seeing it.
Each card’s state and your ratings help determine its next review.
03 · HOW FSRS WORKS
FSRS stands for Free Spaced Repetition Scheduler. It estimates three aspects of a card’s memory state to help schedule reviews.

How difficult the card is to learn.
How long its memory is expected to last.
The estimated chance of remembering it now, based on time and card state. This is an estimate, not a direct measurement.
04 · WHY USE IT?
Card-by-card scheduling reduces the work of deciding what to revisit and when. Your review results help shape the next interval.

Successful recall informs the next schedule. Familiar cards can receive longer intervals.
Choose Again honestly. The forgotten result is reflected in relearning and future scheduling.
Lingoban uses shared FSRS parameters with individual card states and ratings. It does not train a personal model or guarantee a retention rate.
05 · YOUR REVIEW FLOW
Try recalling the meaning or German expression in your head or aloud. Then reveal the answer and compare before choosing your rating.

Read the prompt and try answering without looking.
Show the answer and compare. Revisit the meaning if needed.
Choose Again, Hard, Good, or Easy. FSRS uses the rating and card state for the next schedule.
Check the answer, then rate how well you recalled it. Review intervals depend on the card’s state and your rating.
06 · FOUR RATINGS
Choose how recall actually felt. There is no need to select Easy just to look successful.

I forgot the answer or got it wrong.
I recalled it correctly, but with difficulty.
I recalled it with reasonable effort.
I recalled it quickly and effortlessly.
07 · SRS QUESTIONS
Review helps you discover what needs more practice. It is not a punishment for forgetting.

Return to your review queue and continue. The actual review time and card state inform the next calculation.
No schedule can promise that. Understanding, attention, and continued practice still matter.
Listening and speaking practise a different skill. Complete the answer reveal and rating in review to record recall.
08 · KEEP LEARNING
Open a saved deck, check which cards are due, and take them one at a time. Let FSRS handle the schedule while you focus on learning.
