A day at Luna’s home: waking up, washing, a broken shower and a call to the landlord, repair, noise from upstairs, Leo’s burnt pizza and a smoke scare, a bath, lights off and bedtime — 25 sentences on daily routines, repairs, phone calls, and switching things on and off, all woven into one episode.
Ich stehe um sieben Uhr auf.
I get up at seven o’clock.
Mobi macht das Licht an. Es ist noch dunkel.
Mobi turns on the light. It’s still dark.
Ich wasche mich im Bad.
I wash up in the bathroom.
Ich will mich duschen, aber die Dusche ist kaputt.
I want to take a shower, but the shower is broken.
Kein warmes Wasser! Nur kaltes Wasser.
No hot water! Only cold water.
Ich bade heute nicht. Das Wasser ist zu kalt.
I’m not taking a bath today. The water is too cold.
Ich ziehe mich schnell an.
I get dressed quickly.
Ich rufe den Vermieter an. Mobi ist mein Telefon.
I call the landlord. Mobi is my phone.
Der Anruf ist kurz: Der Vermieter kommt um zehn Uhr.

Mein Handy liegt noch im Bett.

Der Vermieter kommt mit seinem Hund.
The landlord comes with his dog.
Die Reparatur dauert eine Stunde.
The repair takes an hour.
Der Vermieter repariert die Dusche. Mobi hilft.

Die Dusche funktioniert wieder. Ich dusche mich endlich.
The shower works again. I finally take a shower.
Oben wohnt eine Familie mit drei Kindern. Es ist laut.
A family with three children lives upstairs. It’s noisy.
Am Nachmittag kommt Leo. Er kocht Pizza.
In the afternoon, Leo comes over. He makes pizza.
Rauch in der Küche! Ist das Feuer?
Smoke in the kitchen! Is that a fire?
Nein, kein Feuer. Nur Leos Pizza ist schwarz.

Mobi macht den Herd aus.
Mobi turns off the stove.
Leo und ich essen Brot. Die Pizza ist kaputt.

Am Abend bade ich lange. Das Wasser ist jetzt warm.
